"Force does not constitute right... obedience is due only to legitimate powers."
Jean Jacques Rousseau

A.S. President Terra Rentz's attempt to "clarify" my illegitimate impeachment was merely lies to disguise ulterior motives. This outcome was politically motivated by personal issues and served the administration - not the students, especially with a 16-unit cap imposed without broad discussion and the pending massive budget crisis. Terra said in the March 12 Lumberjack, "I see it as a failure on my part." A failure indeed to serve with integrity, tolerance and work with others; not marginalizing democratically appointed officials? I've critiqued and informed students about various issues from America's lie-based wars on terror and drugs, which divert money from education, and to the nature of Terra's leadership. Terra devolved from a critic of Rollin Richmond's administration to a full-fledged administrative groveler. What I will illustrate here is the illegal, unethical and sneaky manner by which my impeachment was initiated; precisely why this error must be recognized and remedied.

The timing and lack of effort to inform the students, who pay the fees for A.S., reveals disregard for community feedback and the democratic process (I was competitively elected in a record voter turnout). The articles of impeachment weren't on the A.S. website agenda, and midterms were in session while students were migrating for break. Not notified by A.S., the Lumberjack was nearly unable to provide coverage in the March 12 issue (released hours before the impeachment hearing). Impeachment was conducted while I was responsible for the Van Duzer Theatre during NORML's Legalize It! event (planned since last fall).

The following A.S. government code sections and laws were violated:

1.
AS government code 9.05: Impeachment article drafters, Tyler Smith and Tiffany Newton, had a duty to serve me the articles a minimum of 72 hours before the meeting (they were supposedly thrown in my mailbox, handed to me on Monday, 48 hours prior by Tyler Smith).
