HSU is lucky to have a student like Jason Robo on campus whether you like him or not. The few times this semester when I've experienced any sort of hope for our future is when I'm walking through the quad and I hear a true patriot on that microphone talking about hardcore truths. One of the greatest systems of control in this society is stifling dissent and squashing unwanted public discourse. Widening the debate and the public dialogue is what has always kept free societies free. Jason is merely acting as a conduit.

It blows my mind to read in this newspaper how people rather "escape from reality" than discuss what's really happening in our country today. What reality are you escaping from? Your bong or your 'holier than thou' environmental preaching? How drunk you're going to get on Saturday or who you want to have sex with?

Instead of snickering and making snide comments when someone has the courage to put himself on the line for you, try listening and finding out why the dollar is collapsing and who's really pulling the strings. It's the willful ignorance that got us into this mess in the first place. We need to be talking about restraining the government, not the free people.

Sometimes I feel like I'm surrounded by sleepwalking, ignorant, lefty socialists whose answer to problems with government is more of it or just to ignore it. I don't mean that as an insult and I have no problem saying it because I was one of them for a long time. I was just unable to recognize that I was only a pawn in the game.

Humboldt County has a reputation for political consciousness and activism. Where it comes from, I have no idea. I've been politically active in the area for the last three or four years, and believe me, there's nothing going on and most people are too wrapped up in the propaganda matrix to tell the red pill from the blue pill. I've lived here for 11 years and I'm moving away this summer. I'm going to miss my good friends and the beautiful area but I'm not going to miss the political ignorance.

You tell it, brother! It is sometimes painful to crack your world-view, but we will all have to go through it whether we wake up now or it's violently smashed for us in the not very distant future! The Fed has been printing money almost non-stop for thirty years and yea that's why the dollar is crashing now. (Continued…)
