Thanks to Aunty Mo's

Dear Editor,
Humboldt Pride would like to thank Aunty Mo's Lounge (535 Fifth St., Eureka) for hosting our Second Annual Mizz Thang Drag Pageant. We would also like to thank Aunty Mo's and their staff for their courage and extraordinary leadership in the business community for identifying a need of underrepresented people and taking on that challenge without hesitation. Community leadership like theirs is contributing to a movement of acceptance in this area as well as a grassroots effort around the nation.
There were over 450 people of all orientations who attended this positive, fun, empowering evening. We would
also like to thank the community for dedicating their free time to attend, the local businesses who contributed to the raffle, and the Eureka Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence for being the M.C.s.
Humboldt Pride's mission is education through outreach and celebration, and this was definitely a night to be remembered. All proceeds from this event will be used for the Pride Festival and Parade happening September 14, 2008, on the Arcata Plaza. For more information and a list of supporters visit our Web site at www.humboldtpride.org.
Sincerely,
Justin Pabalate
