Fourth Generation HSU Grad Returns to Pursue Dream of Teaching

  In kindergarten, Kishan Lara-Cooper wrote that she wanted “to get a PhD and teach in Humboldt.” This year, she achieved her childhood dream. Dr. Lara-Cooper is the first faculty member at HSU from the Hupa tribe. She graduated from HSU in 2001.
